HSSL 492 - Internship in Skilled Nursing Administration (SERV-2)

2-8 hours

The internship is a tailored program of 650-1000 clock hours of management training experience in a Health Services and Senior Living facility approved by the University. The hours are determined by the minimum required by the state in which the student wants to be licensed. The program director or designee will make scheduled on-site evaluation visits. The student is responsible for arranging the time of visits with the facility management. Three reports must be submitted at each 100-hour interval: a written narrative description of the experience, an intern’s report form, and an administrator’s report and evaluation form. These are described in the Health Services and Senior Living Internship Manual.
Prerequisite(s): HSSL 431 , HSSL 432 , HSSL 434  , HSSL 435 , or permission of HSSL program director.
